Dental treatments
We like people in our practice, and we believe that we provide a superior level of patient care and high quality dentistry as a result. Several patients, who left the practice when we converted to Denplan three years ago, were welcomed back after trying other practices. Usually this was because they had missed the high standards and friendly patient care they had become used to with us.
It is routine for our existing patients to recommend us to their friends and family, and we often provide a trusted second opinion if they are not happy with the dental care suggested by their present dentist. A recent audit showed that 90% of new patients who come to us, do so because of the personal recomendation of family or friends.
We share the concerns of many people that the political situation in Britain is having a negative effect on dentistry provided locally and we have been quite vociferous protesting about the situation on behalf of our patients.
Scale & Polish
As a matter of normal action in your mouth, your saliva causes a build up of chalky tartar around the necks of teeth and under the gums. This is worse in areas where we brush poorly.
Dental x-rays
Flouride in all our toothpaste is excellent at reducing decay - no question! But it also makes any decay that does develop more hidden and difficult to recognise than in years gone by, so as a result regular dental x-rays are now an essential part of good dental care.

Root fillings
When decay has extended into the centre of the tooth and infected the nerve, a dental abscess is formed which is usually very painful.

Cosmetic Treatments
This is an example of the description that should go in for each service. This should be kept to 2-3 lines of text and can be found in the content management system when editing a service, you will need to fill in the description box for this to appear.
Caring for your gums
The days are gone when dentistry believed that gum disease was untreatable and often every tooth would be extracted in one sitting because of "pyorrhoea" in the gums!
Fissure sealantsThe grooves (fissures) on the biting surface of teeth can be very deep and steep sided, making it easy for sticky food to trap in there but too narrow for a tooth brush bristle. |
